The Security Specialist (Temporary Appointment) is responsible for advising the Senior Emergency Coordinator (SEC) on their security duties and responsibilities in accordance with UN and UNICEF Security Management Systems. The purpose of the consultancy is to conduct an evaluability assessment that will provide UNICEF management and programme staff with evidence about the readiness of the office to conduct evaluation as there is doubt about the availability of planning, monitoring, and reporting documents on gender programming. The evaluability will be timely to provide recommendations to improve the gender programming in preparation for the next Country Programme and the revision of the 2021 Gender Programmatic Review.
Provide technical support to the implementation of SBC interventions with a focus on routine immunization and COVID-19 vaccination, including the development of content on immunization for IOGT based on questions received from the population, supporting the production of various communication materials such as social media posts, public service announcements, and others on routine immunization and COVID-19 vaccination, and supporting the introduction of the BCC curriculum for preservice and IPC training curriculum for in-service training of health workers.
