UNICEF Pacific is hiring a Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Officer at the NOB level on fixed term appointment to be based in Honiara, Solomons Islands. Under the general supervision of the Social and Behavior Change Specialist, Solomon Islands will be required to provide technical and operational support and is responsible communication, advocacy and social and behavior change activities.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief of section, the programme associate works in close collaboration with a range of staff in the Country Office, external partners and other UN agencies in support of programme design and delivery. S/he provides regular feedback on the status of projects through monitoring milestones and advises on improvements to keep activities on track.

As a Health Specialist, you will lead UNICEF’s work of supporting the Government to strengthen PHC. Working under the overall guidance and supervision of the Chief of Health and Nutrition, the Health Specialist is expected to nurture close collaboration with government partners at the national and sub-national level, UN agencies, private sector, academia and development partners. The Health Specialist will also work closely with the UNICEF South Africa colleagues responsible for Health, Nutrition, HIV/AIDS and other relevant sections to effectively drive the PHC agenda.

This role supports key projects including Windows 11 migration, Cloud Printing, Secure Access deployment, and workspace relocations amid UNICEF House renovations—enhancing operational efficiency and user experience across UNICEF’s New York office
The post incumbent provides support to the Supply Officer (NO-2) in the overall procurement process and implementation of UNICEF Institutional service contracts and Long-Term Agreements for Services (incl. liaising with Programme and Operation Units and suppliers, consolidating requirements, preparation of bids, supplier performance evaluation, etc). Responsible for generating the necessary reports from VISION database for the Section and the Management. The position is responsible for processing import license requests for offshore procurement and ensuring timely offshore deliveries. The position reports to the Supply Officer, NO-2 (19144).
Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) aims to create a roster of experienced consultants who can support EOF with the design and implementation of its programmes, with a depth of expertise in areas such as basic education, early childhood care and education and skills for employment.
